Affiliate disclosure

How The Fine Print makes money, and what that money does and does not buy.

The short answer

We put links on our reviews that point to the websites of the companies whose products we review. If you follow one of those links and buy something, the seller pays us a percentage of the sale. You pay the price shown on their site, not a cent more, and we never see your payment details, because the transaction happens entirely on the seller's own checkout.

Which links are affiliate links

Every button and link on this site that mentions price, availability or the official website is an affiliate link. On our MemoHoney review that means the button in the site header, the buttons in the verdict box and the price sections, each pack button in the pricing table, the price bar pinned to the bottom of the screen, the product photograph, and one link inside the ingredients section.

Links to our own pages are not affiliate links. The links in our references section point to government health agencies, the FDA, medical journals and independent research databases, and we earn nothing from any of them.

What the commission does not buy

  • It does not buy a score. Our criteria are fixed and averaged with no weighting. Our MemoHoney review marks the product down for a label that prints no milligram amounts and calls its branding misleading, on a page that earns us money when people buy it.
  • It does not buy coverage. We choose what to review based on what readers ask about, not on which programmes pay best.
  • It does not buy edits. No company reads our text before publication. If a brand shows us a factual error we correct it and note the correction. If a brand simply dislikes a conclusion, nothing happens.
  • It does not buy silence. Side effects, complaints, one star reviews and refund friction get published whether they help the sale or not.

The rules we work under

United States law requires anyone with a financial connection to a product they endorse to disclose it clearly and conspicuously. The Federal Trade Commission sets out how in its Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, 16 CFR Part 255. We aim to go past the minimum: a disclosure banner sits near the top of every page that carries a paid link, a short note appears beside every purchase button, and the full explanation is in the footer of every page as well as on this one.

We apply the same Guides to the reviews we publish. Our testing accounts describe what actually happened while we used a product. Reader statistics and buyer reports are labelled as our editorial tally rather than audited data. We do not fabricate outcomes, we do not pay for reviews, and we do not offer anyone anything in exchange for a positive one.

We are not the manufacturer

The Fine Print is an independent publication owned by Sable Ridge Publishing, LLC. We are not MemoHoney, MemoHoney Research, or any other company whose products we cover. We do not manufacture, warehouse, ship, bill or support any product. We cannot look up your order, cancel it, change it or refund it. For any of that, contact the company you bought from using the address on their website.
